Steps to Open an EPUB Online
Step 1: Choose Your EPUB File
Ensure your book file has a .epub extension and is DRM-free (unprotected public domain or personal files).
Step 2: Open ReadCove
Navigate to the ReadCove Web Reader Overview or click "Open Reader" to launch the workspace directly.
Step 3: Select or Drag Your Book
Drag and drop your .epub file directly onto the intake desk page or click "Select EPUB Document" to choose it from your local storage.
Step 4: Customize Your Experience
Use the settings panel to select your preferred reading theme & dark mode, adjust typography, and toggle cozy rain soundscapes.
Troubleshooting Common EPUB Questions
DRM Protection vs DRM-Free EPUB Files
ReadCove processes DRM-free EPUB ebooks (such as public domain classics from Standard Ebooks or Project Gutenberg, as well as personal documents). Books encrypted with Adobe DRM or Kindle store locks require DRM-free copies to read online.
File Extensions & Corrupted Downloads
Ensure your document ends with a .epub extension. If a file fails to load, re-download the file to ensure the transfer was not interrupted.
